WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR FIRST SESSION
Your journey with Bolt Fitness starts with a comprehensive, welcoming first session designed to set you up for success.
Initial Consultation & Goal Setting
Your first session begins with a one-on-one consultation with one of our experienced coaches. We’ll discuss your fitness history, lifestyle, any limitations, and the goals that matter most to you—whether it’s gaining strength, improving mobility, increasing endurance, or feeling more confident in your own skin.
Movement & Mobility Assessment
Next, we’ll perform a functional movement assessment to understand your baseline level of strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility.
Introduction to the Fundamentals
At Bolt Fitness, we believe in building a strong foundation. During your consultation, you’ll learn or review the fundamentals of proper form for key exercises, whether that’s squats, deadlifts, or basic functional movements
Review & Personalized Plan Outline
Finally, we’ll review what we covered in the session, answer any questions, and give you an outline of the personalized plan we’ll build based on your goals and assessment.
Next Steps & Scheduling
Before wrapping up, we’ll discuss a recommended training frequency and help you schedule your next session
"A few months ago I reached out to Bolt Fitness and began training with John Hiltibran. John put together a personalized training program for me based on my goals, and I can tell that I’m getting better every time we are in the gym training. He helps push me to do things I didn’t think I could do before. I would definitely recommend John for anyone interested in working with a personal trainer."

We work with clients at every level, from beginners to seasoned athletes. Our coaches personalize each program to match your current abilities, whether you're just starting out, coming back after an injury, or looking to reach new levels of performance. With guidance, progression, and support, we ensure your training is challenging yet achievable, no matter where you start.
-
This depends on which package you choose! Our goal is to create a program that are based on a 12-week periodization system, designed to progress your overall performance safely. Every four weeks, we transition into a new phase (such as strength, hypertrophy, or power), adjusting intensity and exercises. This approach is highly effective for avoiding plateaus and helps you build real, sustainable results.
-
Our facility is fully equipped with high-quality equipment tailored to strength, conditioning, and functional training. You’ll have access to barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, battle ropes, resistance bands, pull up bars, squat racks, sleds, and more. Depending on your goals, your coach may also incorporate cardio equipment such as Rogue Echo Bikes, Concept 2 rowers and ski ergs, and Assault Runners.
-
The ideal frequency depends on your goals, schedule, and fitness level. Many clients see great progress training two to three times a week, which allows time for recovery while ensuring consistency. During your initial consultation, your coach will recommend a frequency that best aligns with your goals and lifestyle.
-
Yes! We offer partner and small-group training options for those who want to work out with friends or family members. These sessions still focus on personalized coaching but allow you to share the experience and keep each other motivated. Small group training is a fun, cost-effective way to get personalized attention while staying accountable.
-
While every individual’s progress is unique, many clients start noticing improvements in energy, strength, and overall fitness within the first month. Significant physical changes often become more noticeable around the 8- to 12-week mark, especially with consistency. We prioritize a sustainable approach, focusing on long-term results that last.
-
Not at all! Personal training is meant for everyone, and you don’t need any fitness background to begin. We’ll start at a pace and intensity level that’s appropriate for you, gradually building strength, endurance, and confidence over time. All we need is your commitment, and we’ll guide you from there.
